Forest Avenue is a small neighborhood on mid-Mercer Island located on the west side of the island just west of W. Mercer Way. Forest Ave., Southeast runs north and south along the shoreline, parallel to W. Mercer Way and Island Crest Way. This waterfront neighborhood is one of the most highly desirable locations on Mercer Island and offers beautiful city skyline views stretching to Seward Park. There are two major areas in this neighborhood including Miller Landing and Forest Landing. Locals and guests can enjoy recreational waterfront activities, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. There are two main streets called Forest Avenue, one to the north and one to the south, and the southern neighborhood is considered an extension of the main neighborhood stretching north and south along the shoreline.
Forest Avenue is accessible by a W. Mercer Way, turning west on Marrimount Drive and then north and south on Forest Avenue or a little further south off of 84th Ave., Southeast with a cul-de-sac, dead in Road ending at Miller Landing. Technically the boundary stretch from Forest Landing to Miller Landing with about 60 to 70 homes interspersed throughout the wooded shoreline.
