Looking for some family fun or perhaps some scary spooktacular events going on around Mercer Island this Halloween, 2019? Here’s some of our favorite events happening on the island.
Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Pumpkin Walk – On October 27 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Luther Burbank Park located at 2040 84th Ave., Southeast on Mercer Island is this year’s youth and family services foundation a pumpkin walk. So what is it? This is a fun and festive family-friendly pumpkin walk through the park. The Meadow Picnic Area Loop will be lined with pumpkins carved by volunteers, friends, and locals from Mercer Island. This is going to be the biggest year yet with food trucks, dedicated parking lots, and a paved walking trail. You can even have your pumpkin featured by dropping it off at the north parking lot on October 27 between 9 AM and 3 PM. Battery-powered votives are available. This is a free event and you don’t need to bring a pumpkin to participate. Is just a fun way to get together and enjoys the fall pumpkins.
CVDS pumpkin pie social – at the Country Village Day School on October 24 from 6:30 PM until 8 PM located at 9423 Southeast 36 Street in Mercer Island is the annual pumpkin pie social. This is a great opportunity to meet other families from the school, enjoy some yummy treats, and for your children to meet some of their peers in a relaxed environment.
Local Business hollowing Trick or Treat Event – on Thursday, October 31 from 3 PM until 5:30 PM all businesses in the town center and the south and shopping center will be opening their doors leading ghosts, goblins, princesses, and devils trick-or-treat at their business. This is the 10th annual trick-or-treat event and it is something fun for the entire family if you don’t really want to travel too far for Halloween events.
