Parkwood Estates, also known as just Parkwood, is a luxury community located on Mercer Island’s Mid-Island district just off of Island Crest Way. It has two entrances, both from Island Crest Way but 92nd Ave., Southeast does connect through other neighborhoods. This collection of 52 homes was established back in 1960 and features their own homeowner’s associations of both Parkwood Estates and Parkwood Ridge. Parkwood Ridge is home to nine single-family homes and located directly to the east of Parkwood Estates. Ingress and egress to Parkwood Ridge is solely through Parkwood Estates. Both neighborhoods are adjacent to the city-owned Greenbelt to the north and east and most of the homes have very distinct features including underground utilities, paved gutters, lantern lights, and Laurel hedges along its southern and western edge.

These homes feature 3 to 6 bedrooms, 2 to 5 bathrooms, and in larger sizes from 2800 ft.² to 4500 ft.². The secluded homes along the Parkwood Road are larger upwards of 7000 ft.² and range upwards of $5 million. These homes are completely surrounded by woods and green space and are private and secluded. The majority of homes in Parkwood Estates range from $1 million to $2.5 million. Schools & Nearby

Right across the street from the entrance to Parkwood is the Island Park elementary school. Just south is adventure playground and shops, restaurants, markets, and other daily necessities are about 10 minutes north from Parkwood. The Mercer Island saddle club and the Mercer Island country club is located just north along Island Crest Way.

Residents are part of the Mercer Island school district and are served by the Island Park elementary school, the Islander middle school, and the Mercer Island high school. The middle school and high school are about 1 to 1 1/2 miles from the entrance to Parkwood.
